Hermann & Associates performs traffic engineering for governmental and private clients.  We look at existing traffic volumes and patterns within the project vicinity and use traffic demand strategies to project future traffic volumes and patterns accurately.  Our staff can evaluate the traffic impacts of a new development or evaluate the performance of a particular intersection or segment of highway.  We utilize Highway Capacity Software (HCS) to evaluate the performance measures of a particular intersection or segment of highway.  This allows us to see where traffic delays and queues occur and recommend improvement strategies.  Our staff routinely evaluates crash patterns on highway improvement projects and offers countermeasures to improve traffic safety.  We are also experienced in performing Intersection Design Studies, evaluating traffic signal warrants, and preparing Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) for proposed transportation improvements.
